iPhone 16 Series

While I find these comparisons interesting, it always ends up being the latest iPhone vs a 9-month old Samsung. This is just going to force Samsung to push things even further when they release the S25 in 4 months. You have to wonder when they'll hit diminishing returns, because they're already using AI to fix their photos.

id be annoyed ... especially since a preorder for me means a specific number of units allocated. Preordering means you have "booked" a specific unit. I would go postal on them. Look they ususally will get stock before this October timeframe (seen this with being on their waitlist). which model did you preorder?

edit: NVM see its the 16 pro black

They wanted to deliver mine on Sunday...I said no and they delivered on Monday.

To date Makro + Gumdrop they use has the fastest delivery I've ever seen on most occasions the craziest being less than an hour after I placed the order.

But how they make any money is beyond me because there was no reason to ship the AirPods separately and nobody else would have done that...yet almost every large Makro order of mine gets split up.

That's exactly what I understand preordering to mean too. And you're right that I'm annoyed, especially since for later istore preorders, the estimated delivery time was pushed forward -- meaning they had to have some idea of the amount of incoming stock.

Not sure that making any noise now would do much besides pushing my bloodpressure up unfortunately.

I mean they are just words which is my point.

Without numbers we can't really know if they are actually popular sellers or iStore just thinks they are popular because they sold 5/5 whereas they sold 1,000,000 out of 5,000,000 other models.

Did you land the free Airpods? Because they were available for the first 600 orders. I would be very surprised if they didn't have 600 phones in stock.

I got the Airpods and got a message yesterday that my order is ready for delivery. Also got the black 128gb Pro.
 
Vodacom in most of Durban says no stock of the pros, only the regular and plus, mid October they would get the pros :confused:

iStore is just kak and should be avoided.

By Sunday they still had the promo up for the free Beats/Airpods you could get with every model...yet that wasn't available from like Friday afternoon already.

And the entire weekend I couldn't complete a payment once..hence going to Makro.

Yeah, I should've just done the same. One second there were Airpods added to my order and the next they weren't. Took a good 45mins to sort payment out etc etc. Not a great or confidence-building experience at all
