Yup I had the Beats in my cart but then when I went to pay they would bugger off.

Meanwhile it was just their broken stock system in the background trying to apply their deal while there is no actual stock for it.

And yet at Makro there is no limit on the deal and you can go order it right now and still get the freebies.

Ah damn, no I missed out on the airpods -- they quietly disappeared as I was going through checkout -- so probably missed out on the first batch of phones then too
 
Yeah, done with mad scrambles. Things will eventually calm down and then I’ll walk in and buy mine (don’t care a kit colour since it will live in a case).

Going to pull the trigger on a Rhinoshield in the meantime.
 
I just chuckle…every year it’s the same story - everyone rushing to get their hands on the latest model as soon as preorders open up - populating pages and pages on here with complaints/observations about shipping status updates, stock shortages etc :laugh:

So my question is this - I don’t follow any Android threads on here - is it also this frantic when, for argument sake, the latest Samsung flagships come out?

If not, then say what you want about Apple, but they sure as hell still create a hype with their products.

And by judging how things go here on MyBB, I can only imagine the hype at the moment globally - so it seems like the 16 is not so boring after all, despite the purple shirt grandpa meme and all, because a lot of the okes falling over their feet are iPhone 15 users.

Last observation - stock already seems to be an issue - so the hypothetical guy that was “stupid to buy a 15 in late august because the 16 is days away”, was maybe not so stupid because the ”days” are already becoming weeks very quickly…

I wouldn't normally recommend the tempered glass but rather their flexible impact protector, but when I ordered there was no stock.

Never heard of RhinoShield before but this is looking interesting. Does this CrashGuard not cover the back of the phone, only the sides? 🤔

I'm here for the pre-order deals. Got a pair of 2nd gen Airpods and R1500 off, now I don't have to worry about hunting down any specials later.

From my previous experience, the Samsung thread was just as frantic when the S24 dropped.
 
My 16 pro 256 from Incredible Conn already picked up by courier. Also have to wait for screen protector, I have a bad habit of dropping new phones before I'm used to the shape.

You would think that preordering via iStore would be the fastest way to get your new iPhone. Just SA things...

I got a TV and soundbar from them that was delivered by SCS. No issues, was two separate deliveries though because the "in stock in Cape Town" turned out to be "in stock in Jhb". If i recall tracking worked pretty well.
