iPhone 16 Series

My point exactly, tempered glass is terrible as a concept and terrible to use.

And instead of absorbing the energy of an impact it just shatters.
Yeah they do, in the past they were supposed to act as a buffer. Nowadays hydrogel is much better, plus so much easier to install.

Precisely why I “re-ordered” my Rhinoshield when I saw the Impact Protectors were back in stock.

That being said you really don’t need these on modern phones unless you are one of those people dropping your phone in a bag with keys or something and even then less and less and issue.

My iPhone 11 has never seen a screen protector and unless holding it up to light at an angle is perfect.

Sadly you do again. My P30 pro never had a protector screen spotless. S23 ultra, ultra careful and fine scratches :( the harder glass gets, the easier it is to scratch it seems :(.
Seen guys at the office with 15s that they also babied with fine scratches

I’m not saying there won’t be scratches.

I’m saying you’ll only see them when you look for them.

In normal operation they aren’t there.

I mean perhaps to normal people... But to some they'll know, oh they'll know. I've replaced things cause the button didn't match the rest of my setup. I'm less prone to that now, sometimes.

Wow! Android 14 has made a huge difference to the S24 Ultra battery life, if I remember correctly a few months ago the S24 Ultra was only getting slightly better battery life than S23U and falling behind iPhone Pro Max and Plus models.

Hell of a comeback by ol’ Sammy, a pity I would still pick an iPhone due to ecosystem, lol.

I’m always a person who recommends Pro or Pro Max to anyone looking to get an iPhone, but has anyone here gone for the standard iPhone 16 or 16 Plus? And what colour did you get? The colours look so much better this year versus 15/15 Plus.

I’d also like to know. I’m considering it because, aside from the 3rd camera, refresh rate and size difference , the phones are more similar than previous generations. And R5500 cheaper (vanilla vs Pro).

I again never see the point of a Pro.

So I got a 16 in Ultra Marine.

Yes I was one of those people.

Then I got over it which is why I make statements like these now.

Even with my phone off at night like it is now it’s impossible to see anything on my screen.

But in the right light at the right angle you'll see it... My son has quite a deep gash in his A34, doesn't bug him in the slight. But than again his tv colour isn't right

Sorry I meant under the lights because it’s dark.

No gashes or anything of the sort, just hairline type stuff like polish marks on a car.

This ESR protector has:
1. A tray that fits over the phone ensuring a perfectly aligned protector fit
2. It has a statically charged film underneath that you pull out and attracts all the dust away

It’s honestly the easiest and most perfect first time install I’ve done.

I went for it because of the display.

While it’s nice in a direct comparison kind of way it’s not R5000 nice.

It very quickly “blends” and between my iPad Pro and iPhone 11 I can’t say I really notice.

It was very novel when I first got the iPad Pro but it fades pretty quickly.

I did toy with taking over my mates iPhone 15 Pro Max for the price he would get on trade-in but that didn’t seem like enough of a benefit either.

I plan on keeping the phone for 3 to 4 years so don't want to regret not getting a good display now.
