Hi,

I've got an iPhone 3Gs 32 (Vodacom / IOS 4.0.1 8A306 / Modem 05.13.04 / JB) my WiFi works fine, however when trying to use the 3G, I receive the error of not connected.

In the network option the following settings are as follow:
Enabled 3G - ON
Cellular Data - ON
Data Roaming - ON
Internet Tethering - OFF

Cellular Data Settings :
APN : internet

I have confirmed with Vodacom, my phone number is registered for iphone APN. My wifi's got the 3G with identical settings and her phone connects without a problem.

I do have receive an IP address from the 3G network (41.27.55.118) however the MAC address (00:00:00:00:00:70) and cellular data network: Inactive

Thanx for all help in advance.

You should speak to Vodacom, maybe there is a carrier settings update or something.

After spending way to much time on the phone with Vodacom (111) I found out that there are 2 configurations to the APN (1) internet; (2) iphone.vodacom.za.net. Both are correct, however if either of them are congested it will not connect. But that did not resolve the issue, so I'm off to the Vodacom shop in Cresta today

Upgraded my iPhone to 4.2.1 and suddenly the internet connection works .... wonder if the previous os was written by telkom ....
