It would be an interesting move on vodacom's part to make the 3GS available only in White.. A visual way for people to differentiate between the 3G and 3GS. (in SA at least)

I find it pretty pathetic that Vodacom HQ does not communicate with their shops to give an ETA for the iPhone.

Actually, there is a large number of white 16Gb 3G Iphones in SA at the moments. I've heard nothing solid except rumors about the colour and release dates of the 3GS.

I know, I have a white iPHone, but what I meant was that officially from Vodacom, you could only get the iPhone 3G in Black, to have the 3GS available only in white, may not be a bad idea. (officially speaking )

Looks like we may wait a while! http://www.theregister.co.uk/2009/07/21/iphone_3gs_shortages/ - I also spoke to Vodacom today who said they may be getting new iPhones in on the 6th of August. That doesn't really mean much though as Vodacom are pretty rubbish around updating people.
