iPhone 3GS will be available in stores from August 7

No word of what it'll be on a normal Talk 500 - dammit. R1999 in the iPhone 500s is not that bad considering Vodacom are going to give me R1000 discount on my pay-in because of my usage.

Ask for a discount for the 32GB...

Both 3GS models are both white, only the old 3G models are black.
 
Is it just that there is only white stock at the moment? Because there is obviously a black version? Or are they never bringing in the black?

I don't want white, it discolours over time, there have been reports all over the Internet. :(

Nobody in the US wants white any more so they are shipping all their rubbish white stock to Africa where nobody has a choice in any case...

That so rashing - I've been there about a million times in the last three weeks and everyone has been so stupid.
 
Just called and shat on Nisa - I was suppossed to be contacted as soon as the 3GS came into stock and now I'm told I wasn't on the 'list'. I was told the 'list' was for the 3G not 3GS since no one at the store even knew what the 3GS was 2 weeks ago.

Dude I was friendly - I've been super friend for the last two weeks.

Oh, and Gateway Vodashop did exactly the same thing this time last year with the 3G. Put my name down - told I'd get one on release, and I didn't.

I got bragging rights too! Seems like Nelson Mandela Vodashop has stock! Although outright purchase is putting a dent into my cc.
 
Damn you! I have to wait till next Friday for the Cellucity in Pavilion to get stock - I don't mind though because hopefully I'll get a discount on the pay in as opposed to Vodashop who were being misers! :p
 
Hmm...somehow the camera is not working properly. It's basically in sephia mode. Anyone have the same issue?

Ok...found out the problem. There was a setting to change the background setting in default black-on-white and white-on-black. If you change it to white-on-black, all your photos, camera's will come out in sephia. Changing it to default kicks everything back to full color mode. Whoopi! Wife is very happy with the investment :) Now just wonder if she'll get me a Blackberry!
