So, I have a little problem with a customer, she has an iPhone, and is using it successfully with Win 7 and iTunes, when she plugs it into her notebook, iTunes opens up, and it sees the phone etc, but it doesn't autoplay Windows Explorer to enable her to browse the contents like pictures etc on the phone itself.
Windows does list the iPhone under My Computer, and she can double click and explore it very easily, but she wants it to open Explorer automatically. I checked under the AutoRun settings in Control Panel, and it doesn't list the iPhone as a device under the Devices section, so I am not able to have it set there. I had her uninstall and reinstall the USB Root Hubs, and try again, but to no avail.
Also, when she plugs in a USB Flash drive, Windows does autorun it and opens Explorer to browse the drive.
This all leads me to deduce that iTunes is actually intersecting Explorer and causing it to use iTunes instead of how she wants it. Now the killer here is, that she says that on her mom's notebook it does open the folder view for her to browse the contents.
The next step that I am going to take with her is to update the chipset drivers in hope that it is newer and that it would make it work.
I have also checked the net and they give various "fixes" which just didn't work for her, so yeah. Anyone have any ideas?
