iPhone 4 - FM Radio

I see that the iPhone 4 does not have a FM radio. What is up with that?

For the same reason the iPhone 3 couldn't record video initially. Problem?

a) What would you listen to though?
b) Most radio stations have streaming audio now so you don't need FM to tune into them. Just listen directly off the site?

well to be fair, in other countries internet is not such a highly priced commodity and wifi is everywhere.
It's like complaining in South West Brazil that your Mercedes doesn't have proper roads.



Free FM Radio is avilable on iPods though...

Agreed, I can't afford to use tunein radio anywhere other than on my home network. Where I really would like to use it, the gym, it's not viable. The app is quite bandwidth hungry. Works really well though!!

+1 for TuneIn - great little app and works well (so far) - I only use it at home and in the office on wi-fi, so no bandwidth charges

iphone is pretty cramped already. fm radio was no priority. I don't think many people in US (that has iphone) listen to radio.

Macboer, I believe the broadcom chip does have fm radio hardware built in, but uncle Steve wants you to pay for your music...
