I finally received my iPhone 4S yesterday, after 2 weeks, which i ordered through Vodacom's Upgrade centre.
So I went to Cellucity yesterday evening (6pm) and did a SIM swop in order for me to get a mirco SIM and was told it would take up to 4 hours for it to activate.
I waited patiently and only put the micro SIM into my phone at about 10pm last night, it would be searching and then just no service, but by now my previous SIM had been deactivated so I don't have access to calls, smses etc.
I Phoned vodacom earlier and followed their instrustions (remove sim card, restart phone, etc) but still no service, they said i should wait a bit longer and it should work.
It's 2pm and still no service. Anyone else had to wait this long for their micro sim to activate? or do you think there could be a problem with the iPhone itself?
