Well it's not fragile anymore. Seems to be built like a tank, atleast compared to the last iphone. :)

Who would have thought that not making a phone entirely out of glass would improve it's durability. Major points to Apple for being innovative enough to use aluminium on the back. They truly are trend setters in the phone arena.

I always find these drop tests humorous. You hear of humans falling from an aeroplane and surviving while others fall from a few feet and die. It is really about the way you land. Unless you can get both devices to land on precisely the same point then a comparative test is not really a comparative test.

In saying that, it is not surprising that the iPhone is more durable than the SGS3. I am not a fan of the SGS3 design with the glass going all the way to the edge with only thin plastic taking the impact if it falls on a corner.

It actually quite impressive the iPhone5 seems to be built like a tank but i you do manage to crack the screen according to iFixit it is an easy repair now need to get my hands on one :D

Sad thing is people are reporting receiving them scuffed out the box. So they seem quite robust but at the same time there appears to be a design flaw too.
