iPhone 5 wifi issues - steps to solve?

Eish. I'll wait 14 days if I can keep the phone until it's swapped.

I doubt they'll let you do that. They need at least a day with the phone to have a technician to activate the moisture indicators with an eyedropper…

It sounds like a software issue. Have heard of a couple of people with the problem. Have you tried putting the phone in Airplane mode then connecting to wifi? If it still has weak signal then, then I would take it to Apple or CellC and demand they swap it out.

Tried that now with no luck.

3 weeks to swap? Did they give a reason like low stock or was it pulled from the ether? That is totally unreasonable. If there is stock they should do a straight swap then and there and if not 3 weeks still sounds too long.

"Explained in Ts&Cs when you signed contract."

"You can take it to the service centre in Tyger Valley (40km away) for an assessment in 3 days."

"Entry level loan phone."

Take it back!

I took mine back - they returned it with tech report saying that he sorted out the battery issue on which I said "WTF, that wasn't the issue at all"...

In front of the lady at Vodacom I took out my friends ip5 and compared and showed her - so I took the phone and booked it in again the very same second I took it

They replaced it after that in week and a bit...
