iPhone 6 in SA: FNB, Telkom, Cell C pricing

I think I will just cancel my 64GB order with Vodacom and just go for FNB.

Watch how the prices are dropping on Gumtree for those that bought them in the US for resale.

All the networks have a page on their website with information regarding the iPhone 6, except Cell C.

Two years ago they had the best deal with the iPhone 5 and had it available on launch day, but now they have completely missed the party.

Sad that AKC is not at the helm anymore, and the ship is adrift now. He belongs to an exclusive club of CEOs who really tried to make a difference.

Or maybe they let their web development team go...

They don't even have the note4 yet. Thinking of just canning my contract with them and getting one of the telkom deals.

Telkom Smart 50 is not a bad deal at all. R449 for 50mins, 575mb data.

i don't know hey, for R100 extra you get the 64gb, 100min and 1150mb. I think that's probably the best value for money. All of the deals remains pretty ****ty compared to CellC's Iphone deals 2 years back, 200min, 200 sms and 500mb for R399. Now for R50 more i get 25min, 0 sms and 512mb.
Be it as it may, i'm canceling my CellC contract, just needed this to confirm. Telkom Mobile will be my new SP starting December :-)

I also have the R399 Cellc contract ending in December, Does that mean i can get the iPhone 6 and stay on this deal, or will i have to change packages?

When you upgrade, you are basically starting a new contract and seeing as the old deals are not available anymore, you will have to pick one of the new ones at the higher price.

Nope.
The package is R200, then you get 200mb, 200sms and 200min (the 300mb expires), and then whatever the device is going to cost you. Lets say the Iphone 6 is 10k, then its R400 pm for the phone alone over 24 months. so basically if you want to stay on the Straightup 200, you will pay R600+ for an Iphone6 16gb, with 200sms, 200min and 200mb. then you still have to buy additional megabytes.
So unless CellC comes up with a new promotion. we are farked.

Thanks, that's a bummer
Looks like I might just move to Telkom then

Telkom mobile

I would like to move to Telkom as well, but the frequency they chose to roll out LTE on is sort of holding me back.

Just be cautious, I'm with Trlkom Mobile and often there is no signal and voice calls go straight to voice mail. I have the 5s, Kempton area
