iPhone 6s

Great! I never had my doubts, we can trust Apple wholeheartedly to ensure that they're both virtually identical.

While I was surprised that they tasked two companies for manufacturing the A9, it's understandably a massive job for Apple's logistics due to the demand for iPhone. Hats off to them.

I'll now be happy with the TSMC, and it means I don't have to support that crap Korean corporation (AKA Chinese quality).

Quite a few threads appearing around the web, some are seeing quite big differences (and the Samsung appears to be the weaker chip).

I happen to have 2 6S Pluses (64GB) on hand with one being a TSMC chip and the other a Samsung chip.

A couple days ago, I performed GeekBench's battery test for both the devices and the results were quite surprising.

The TSMC chip was able to last for almost 8 hours:

While the Samsung chip was only able to achieve approx. 6 hours:

Ran this test a couple times and results were consistent. Always about a 2 hour difference in duration. Both phones were tested using the same backup, same settings. Also tried testing them as new phones and results were similar.

You'd think the smaller sized chip would be more efficient but the benchmarks don't really reflect that.

And I have the TSMC chip in mine :)

Meh.. I guess I will wait it out for this debacle to get sorted. 20% is a lot

Just in case you guys are interested I just found out that the iPhone 6s plus 64gig is R949pm on uChoose 350 and the 16gig version is R849pm on uChoose 350... I prefer the airtime contracts so that you can keep good control over your expenditure. I didnt ask about the iPhone 6s as I want a 6s plus but those prices are pretty steep... Anyway, you guys can call the contact center and find out because the prices are now loaded on their system.

I got the same information. I also found out that the 6s Plus 64gb is R899 a month on the Smart M. The agent implied that was the lowest contract it's available on. I'm sorry, I was looking forward to the phone but damn, that's a little crazy.
