FabFocus kinda brings Portrait Mode to other iPhones

Portrait Mode was on of the standout features of the iPhone 7 Plus. It intelligently uses both cameras in tandem to create a 3D image map of your subject, then in real time, applying a blurring/bokeh effect to the background of your photo. That’s something would normally require a high-end DSLR with a wider aperture lens to achieve. While the result wasn’t as good as a professional camera, it is a great effect with promising results. Since Portrait Mode does require the two cameras, anyone without an iPhone 7 Plus was left out of all fun. Enter FabFocus.

FabFocus isn’t the first app on the market to attempt to recreate this depth of field effect. In particular Apps like Tadaa SLR do an admirable job. They all require manual masking, however. You have to go in and paint out your subject, then they will blur everything else. FabFocus, while not in real time, will automatically blur your background for you. In my testing, I’ve had somewhat mixed results.

6s screen protector fitted on a 7...

View attachment 397786

Strange. Will measure my 6S+ but I'm almost certain the ear piece slit is shorter on the 6S+. In fact guy where I bought my screen guard from noted that the 7 is longer to prove that is was for a 7

Good fitment. Mine is off at the top by about 2/3rds of a millimeter. It's Not helping the OCD much

Just called my local iStore, they have stock of what I want, a 7 128 GB matt black. It's going down either tomorrow or Sunday.

What price did they quote for it? Is this the cheapest place?

Vodacom contract upgrade so no cash price given. Between iStore, Digicape and Takealot you'll get the best price, in my experience it's also worth trying Digicape for a small discount though I don't know if they'll give discount on a device which is so popular and new on the market.

I wanna go to the istore. Call centre says they have demo units. I wanna test them out before taking one. Which one did you go to? I might go to vodaworld or centurion.
