iPhone 7 and 7 Plus

I have model no 1784, coming from a 6S plus I thought initially reception was worse on the 7 but I also think MTN have been really shaky the last couple of weeks, seems to have improved of late. May be in the mind though, don't treat this as concrete.

I have the iPhone 7 32GB and it is the A1778 model. I had a Nexus 5X before the iPhone and compared to that the signal is much better on the iPhone. Getting mostly 3G at my place of work where the Nexus would often stay on 2G the whole day (bad signal area). If it is better or worse than the iPhone 6/6s I cannot say.

iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 plus?

I'm thinking of moving from the Nexus 5 to the iPhone 7 and the nexus is starting to show its age. How did you find the switch?

I have the non-plus version. The switch was quite easy seeing as I am familiar with iOS due to my parents have iPhones and iPads. Some of the apps function a bit differently compared to Android. The Outlook app as an example lacks the contacts sync option but there is a way around that.

Cool. Thanks.

smooth in terms of? the move? or differences that are getting smaller?

Both, actually. I tried to use the app Apple provides, but that didn't work... but it did work with the wife's.

Setup is easy enough. The apps are similar enough. The OSes are close enough to each other that apart from a few new muscle memory unlearning you really can jump between the two.

The only thing I had issues with was finding those niche apps. That's always going to be a thing though.

Hi
What's the best cases for the iphone? And where to buy them from.

The Apple leather cases are good, but do add a bit to the size to the overall feel of the phone.

Some members here will recommend a Chinese $1 case though. They obviously want to make the phone feel like their previous Android device.

My bro lives in Chicago & reckons one does need to spend more than 10 USD for a HQ i7 case in the US (of course).

SA would be a different story....

Thanks, looking for a case for iPhone 7. Heard the spigen range are decent. Any place to purchase locally besides online from the states etc?

Today I realized if holding the home button for Siri, the Siri sound and voice comes out the ear speaker as if holding the phone against your head. If I remember it was still working as it should on Friday or Saturday, I changed no settings, did no updates, any ideas?
I switched Siri on and off, I restarted the phone, but it's still the same, this on a i7 running the latest iOS.

I had a Speck Presidio Grip on my iPhone 6 and ordered the same for my 7, unfortunately I had to order it from the UK since the specific one isn't available locally. I haven't received it yet but the one I had on my iPhone 6 for 2 years was great.

I use the Apple battery case, adds some bulk but I like the weight, look and battery life :)

I have a problem... Spend way too much on Apple covers. Just don't like the other covers on the market tbh. The apple ones are quite classy and does not distract from the design of the phone imo

I have the same problem... but mine was spending too much on the Apple iPhone. I just don't like it tbh. Apple is quite classy but distracts from what a mobile phone could be imo

Why? What do you mean? In terms of being customisable?

Nah, iPhone just isn't for me. It's just so... soo... boring. I described it to someone at work that asked me the same question:
- It's like a clean room... where everything is white, and in it's place... and you are in side, and there is no door.

- and the walls are padded for you own protection
- also white

So just like your bedroom?

;)
