Has anyone had it and fixed it? basically for those who don't know what it is, the iphone starts up extra slow, and worst of all if you phone someone or they phone you, you cant hear them and the option of speaker mode when on a call goes dark. what can I do to fix this, the phone was working 100% and all of a sudden I can't take calls, everything else still works 100%

Simple fix, buy a phone from another brand, literally any other brand.
We have two iphone 7's one works 100% have had iphones sins the 3GS, never gave problems, guessing this is about the 10th one thats showing this after 2 years of use, so in my mind better than anything out there.

It’s not user repairable, unless you can do micro-soldering.

This sounds like a software issue, but it’s actually the result of the audio chip starting to come loose from the motherboard. Repair requires a skilled hand with a microscope and a soldering iron.

I just wrote an article about this for an Australian repair company. They told me most repairers in Australia can't even fix it. If you have the right tools, like they do, it's pretty straightforward though.
