Yes, I did say that. The networks manage their supply directly with Apple. the iStore is not an Apple store owned by the brand, they are the country distributor for SA. They handle distribution for everything except the phone.
Man, the networks, and Vodacom for a fact I know, do not deal directly with Apple, but with Core, who are the sub distributors for Africa. Agreements are signed with Core, not with Apple.

The same applied to Nintendo, where the retailers did not deal directly with Nintendo, but with Core gaming, who supplied the retailers with stock, and invoices came from Core, not Nintendo

True, for non iPhone products. Networks deal direct with Apple for iPhones. Rest assured.

You said Networks ie MTN, Vodacom, Cell C,Telkom.. Generally the Apple stores world wide receive stock before any networks , followed by the authorised resellers then down to the networks.

No, networks get their stock same time as Apple Stores in most of the world, at least those places where there are real Apple Stores like the US, Europe, HK.

As an example, in the US AT&T, Verizon, Sprint and T-Mobile get stock same day that Apple Stores get stock for launch day.

This is South Africa buddy. I know how it works in the US and Europe. But it's not always that the networks get the stock before the Apple stores or the same time in the US.

It's not the same here, that I know and can tell you now.

Do you have a condition that causes short term memory loss? A reminder of what you said and what I was replying to:

Yes, they do, and have done since at least the iPhone 4.

Which is bugger all to do with Apple Stores worldwide...

You seem upset..

Why would you think that? I thought I was fairly polite in the way I enquired into your medical condition.
So tell me, locally, does it apply the same as overseas in terms of when the iStore, Apple Authorised resellers in SA and networks get their stock? Do they get it at the same time?

We shall see what happens 1st few weeks of October, because as of now, non of the networks has released pricing to us, or indicated an ETA on stock

Apple Stores don’t exist in SA.

He is quite right that the networks control distribution of the phones in SA.

Core doesn’t touch it and therefore iStore (owned by Core) doesn’t get their stock direct.

All the resellers also get it via networks.

For everything else except iPhone this is true.

An apple store is called an apple store wherever you go in the world.

Istore is a South African innovation by one of the official dealers, not apple themselves

Well done to them with their ****ty fake marketing worked on someone.

Sorry to break it to you mate but there is no official Apple presence in South Africa and every single one is a “fake” third part Apple reseller.

Which is why they are called iStores and not Apple Stores.

There is no Apple South Africa. There is only Core who is an authorised distributor operating on behalf of Apple in SA.
