iPhone @ Cellucity in September ?

Firstly, that image is copyright BIG TIME...anyways...

Can tht not be considered false advertising? Cant we sue? :D

Nice one - if we were living in the US. Here the ASA is pretty much the only body who will act in such cases, and all they will actually do is get them to pull the advert.

The PTT campaign by MTN is a good example of this.

I emailed them and they responded with:

At this point in time we are unable to supply you with any info on the exact date of arrival, pricing or packages.

It is expected in September.

I doubt they will have it.

Apple will sell it the rights to a network. My best guess will be they sell to Vodafone.... I think they have already ( I could be wrong) if Vodafone has the license to sell them its obvious who in SA might be the "Sole" distributers of the iPhone

From what I can see, CelluCity is a Vodacom SP (I might be wrong), so I don't doubt that they might get it, the September 2007 date is just a bit too early for me!

so i decided to have a look at the specs on the iphone to see what the fuss is about...i still dont see what the fuss is about, the display is very nice and the auto-rotate sensor is a funky idea but for a newly released phone it just lacks the specs!!?

But for a company's first try at a cellphone, it is not bad at all!

I am getting the E90 first and then I will wait for the rush to be over and get the iphone.... I would like one right now but then I have to go and stay in the United States of America

My upgrade (and wife's) is coming up in Aug. Already upgraded myself to the TyTN earlier this year ... will keep one of the upgrades for the iPhone :D

I say Moto will be the biggest loser to iPhone.

What exactly do you think the ASA will do if the phone doesn't come out in Sept? They've already pulled the ad, which is the most the ASA can action anyway.
