iPhone details

I am glad i didn't wait.

I got the samsung Omnia at MTN.
R319 a month with R200 airtime.

I really can not understand why anyone would go for the iphone....

Really?? Did u pay in for that? I see it's now R449 p.m. on Anytime R350 with zero pay in. R500 p.m. on Anytime R500 with zero pay-in. I wonder if the 2nd option is a typo :D

OK, cause that option (the R319 pm one)[1] isn't in the brochure, so I guess one has to ask at the store about it?

[1] Edit: The R200 pm option isnt in the brochure either.
 
aaaah! My prediction was almost there. It's virtually the same price as the HTC Diamond on a 500 package. I mean come on! R800 a month just for calls and then almost R2000 pay in.

That's almost R21000 for 24 months !!!!! TWENTY ONE THOUSAND RAND TOTAL!

Yes, if you ask in store they will tell you.

Basically it is AnyTime200 R 200 + R 119 Omnia (R 2856) = R 319 pm or R 7 656 total for 24 months.

Yup: WOW what a screen! WOW what an interface. F*** ME what a price tag. WOW, how come they put a camera from 2005 on this thing? WOW, how can it not have copy and paste? WOW, what the H3ll kind of crippled Bluetooth implementation is this (I can't Bluetooth contacts, images, etc.)?

Won't stop it from selling like hot cakes though!

How large a cost would one face if you were to take out a 24-month iPhone 120S contract, pay in the R3k, and three months down the line decide to cancel the contract? (To do something like say... buy the HTC Touch HD :P)
