iPhone - EDGE / GPRS help?

I've recently bought an iPhone, had it unlocked and am currently using an O2 pay as you go SIM card. However, I am unable to browse the internet or use any applications requiring EDGE. I've heard that there is a bolt on for O2 PAYG cards, that allows internet access. I ordered that bolt on, it's here. But I still cannot browse the internet. It says I have not subscribed to EDGE.

I am unable to get a contracted SIM card, which would surely allow GPRS or EDGE.

Is there a way for me to have internet access through my iPhone, by means of EDGE or GPRS? Whichever way, it doesn't matter, as long as I can start using half of my iPhone's applications again. Is there a setting I've missed that allows my O2 bolt on to work?

You need to goto Settings, Network, Edge, and then type in operator provided info. Goto an O2 store...they can help!
