That's for fetch - push, if your mail server supports it, should mean emails are sent to your device as soon as they are received by the mail server. Thanks bwana!
I actually see on the iPad you can set 15, 30 etc intervals - or manual. I'm guessing it's the same then
Yes, afaik it's similar as long as you're using IMAP.
That's the fetch setting - I sit with a blackberry and iPad in front of me throughout the day and emails arrive almost at the same time on both as long as I have push enabled on my iPad.all info i have been able to find is its more like outlook express than bb email... it needs to 'refresh' each time on an interval, even with IMAP. resulting in phone having to send/recieve data every few seconds forever, if you want your mail to appear as fast as BB. so not same at all.
Its the same push email on MS exchange, all the same BB features only thing I need that the iPhone doesnt support is managing out of office settings.
All of us using gmail doand we all have MS Exchange servers for email.
I don't think that was me who said that - possibly biometrics?bwana - last time you said I should register a Gmail account to get past the 'rejected because no relaying' issue.
I really do not want another email account - can't I simply use the outgoing Gmail server?!
'rejected because no relaying' issue.
