On iPhone is it possible to prevent audio notifications from coming through a Bluetooth connected speaker?
When my phone is connected to my car Bluetooth dongle I want the notifications to always come through the phone speaker rather than the car speakers.

The reason for this is my phone auto connects to BT every time I switch the car on which is awesome but often I need to turn the radio off due to the noise the BT transmitter makes when the phone is also charging and when that is the case I naturally don't get any audible notifications.

Might seem dumb but, how's about no notification sound?

Because I want to hear the notifications just not through the Bluetooth.
Sometimes I switch the radio off because the Bluetooth transmitter I use introduces a whining noise when I use it’s charge port to charge the phone and then I miss notifications because they are all getting routed via Bt.

Gtfo with your R5k solution to a basic problem, also I hate smartwatches, another piece of junk that needs babying and charging and insurance and extra careful manoeuvres when in dodgy areas.. which is near everywhere these days.
Cheapest Watch at iStore is R6.6k up to R20k for top dog Ultra.

But yeah based on your requirements it might not be worthwhile.

Granted smartwatches are pretty awesome but not to the degree I would go to the hassle of owning one.
Less is more and I’m quite fond of wearing an old divers watch, supa styling

Sounds like you need to upgrade to a car with Apple Carplay and stop using cheap kak Bluetooth.

Or just mute the phone and pay attention to the road when you're driving. You know, like the law says.
