Yes you can and always have been able to email photos from iPhone. In the photo app, select the photo you want to email and push the icon on the bottom left.. select email "email photo"

Yes, to 800x600, which actually makes it look better

good point... not sure if he means at the native resolution, or natively as in not having to download a third-party app to mail photos.

Running OS 3 beta 3

I just upgraded to OS 3 beta 3. All looks good - seems faster. Option to copy and paste and a few other things added.
