iphone pop email syncing with mac mail issues

how do I sync my pop email account on my iphone 3Gs with mac mail?

when I download my email on my macbook then it wont appear on my iphone. but if I download the email first on my iphone it will also download on mac mail.

I tried an imap account but my server provider warned me about issues that can occur later.

and I don't want a mobileme subscription.

Issues that can occur? Maybe they are covering their own @sses 'coz they giving you very little space on their mail server?
Honestly dude, IMAP is the way to go
Nonetheless, if you have to use POP, check under advanced in the mail settings on your Mac and see if there is an option that says "Remove copy from server after retrieving a message" - make sure that is unticked

Yip, only rumours at the moment though... I use MobileMe and tooootally love it
