Hey guys,

So a friend of mine dropped her iPhone 6S and damaged the screen.

She got a quote on repair - R1400. Not sure if it is or isn't expensive, but it sure is quite a lot of money for a screen.

Anyone have any contacts or suggestions for a genuine screen replacement at a good price?

Looking in Joburg (Fourways/Randburg area)

Check one day only.. they had a special for we fix.. i think it was like 700 bucks for iPhone 6s screen

I'm pretty sure they're not affiliated with Apple in any way, them working on your phone invalidates your warranty after all.

Irrespective of that... they do good work. They've repaired countless devices for me and I wouldn't take a broken iPhone anywhere else.

@OP - the only place you're going to get a genuine replacement in SA is through Core.

For a cheap and no-going-back fix, try one of the China Malls. Around 500 will get your screen replaced. No need to mention you'll lose your warranty, and the replacement part is not original as expected
 
I wouldn't recommend wefix for screen replacement. They use sub standard screens.
Had my iPhone 6s screen replaced by them in July. The screen freezes and gets unresponsive at times, that never happened before even though my screen was broken. Placed my screen in my pocket once and when I took it out, it had scratches. Used 4 different screen protectors and they all didn't properly fit.
Better the Pakistani/Bangladesh guy in the street cause when they replaced it the 1st time i broke it, everything worked perfect.

Apparently it's due for an upgrade in a few months. I think she'll just wait it out.

Price is quite reasonable.

But rather we use Apple Doctor instead of WeFix.

Can DIY but it's not really much cheaper.

FWIW I contacted them for a price on a 6s dock replacement and they were a few bucks more expensive than WeFix.

The quality of workmanship is what matters.

What is a 6S dock though?

Then they are retards.

Lightning replaced the Dock connector.

It's not the same thing or "areal". It's literally the name of the port.

Yea who knows. But both WeFix and Apple Doctor refer to it as the dock connector:

Yeah it was the Dock connector before iPhone 5 so I guess it helps to not confuse the issue for some people.
 
iPhone 6 battery replacement today only at WeFix for R249.
