iPhone SE

Did not receive my phone yesterday :(... Should arrive on Monday.

Taking out a contract with MTN as well so I should have a second one by next Friday as well - might sell one of them.
 
I should add, I played with one at the iStore today while applying for the contract.

Rose Gold looks amazing! Not for me though. The phone felt the same as the 5S of course. Really like the feel.

In terms of performance, I was pretty impressed. The phone is fluid and has no lag whatsoever. It's really fast. The 5S is fast enough for me but I could definitely feel the difference.

Camera looked very good but I didn't test it in detail. Will do that with my own unit when I receive it.

Overall, it seems like a great phone and I'm looking forward to getting mine
 
Coming from 5' screen the one thing I hate about 4' inch screen is smaller text. My eyes are squinting and straining more on the smaller screen than the bigger one. Is there any setting to make the text bigger globally on ios?

It would appear that Vodacom are only offering deals on the 16GB version? No 64GB? Or am I missing something?

Yeah, then in a couple of months time Vodacom will release their sales stats where Blackberry/Android/Windows phones outsell the iPhone and we all left scratching our heads wondering how?
 
I saw the 64GB advertised at MTN yes. If only Vodacom had the 64GB for R429 PM on uChoose 200. :(

Guess I will ahve to settle on the 16GB.

How limited is the 16GB version really?
This will be my 1st iPhone, any pointers with regards to free usable storage (after OS installed, etc.) and what is the minimum to be kept free in order to allow smooth functioning of the phone?

I'm happy with 16GB. But keep in mind that I use essential apps on my iPhone and have many more apps on my iPad (Also 16GB). I use a 64GB iPod Touch for music.

I think the user can use about 12.5GB of the space. You can fill it up completely and it won't slow down.

Keep this in mind though. I called Vodacom Online to see when my order would be delivered and they said that there is no stock until the end of the month. When I was transferred to the guy who processed the upgrade, he told me I'd get it today because it was a pre-order
 
Where can I find a Space Grey iPhone SE on Vodacom contract? I have called almost everywhere and most don't even have stock of the SE, nevermind the colour.
 
For those interested, most of the cellucity branches in CPT has stock of the Gold, Silver and Rose Gold. None have stock of the Space Grey.
