Not sure if the iPhone has been released yet, but Skype has finally landed in the form of Fring:

I just had a 20 minute conversation - 10 minutes via skype-out and 10 minutes to a buddy using fring on his mobile phone (some windows phone, I think) - worked quite well. Sounds a little woolly, but still clear enough.
