iPhone Trade in?

Hi Guys,

Someone commented on an article this morning saying you could trade your old iphone in for money towards your next purchase?

Is this true?

So if I have an iPhone 4S through Vodacom, I can walk in to an iStore to purchase a 5S, and they will credit me upon handing in my old one?


[Edit:] Obviously, with the Vodacom contract having been completed/paid off etc.

I am wondering the same thing. I called in, and they confirmed, the phone will be evaluated and at most you will receive a R4000 voucher. I wonder how much a 4S would go for?.. If you do have time to go in could you possible give me an estimated amount? :)

On Monday I will probably receive the new phone.
 
Apple offered me R2646 for an iPhone 4S traded in. Much better than what others have offered to buy cash.

Is that only to be spent as an ofset to the upgrade - or can it be used for something else in the iStore?

Apparently a voucher towards anything and not just an upgrade. + You don't have to trade in an iPhone, you can trade in any smart device.
