iPhone WIFI

Thanks :)

Awesome phone BTW - I'll admit I was sceptical but after using it for just a few hours (should be a prerequisite for being able to pass judgement on any device imo) it was like a little switch flipped and all the initial awkwardness/confusion went away.

Its very cool, I just got a 10 pin bowling app, its like a wii, you have to physically bowl the pins down...
Ps dont let go of the phone!:o

now jailbreak it :)
Why? Its not as if there is a shortage of apps.

:) I'll add it to the list. :)

EDIT - which bowling app is it? There are a few. :D

Agreed, I have the iPhone 2G for nearly a year now and every new phone released by the competition still looks outdated, it's the only phone I've owned that after a year looks better than the day I first got it... very weird but I love it.

Cos you can?

Lots of cool tweaks that you wont find on AppStore (because they go against the rules and regulations of the AppStore) such as the 5-icon dock, Cycorder (video recorder with sound), SB Settings, SwirlyMMS, biteSMS.. just to name a few

Not to mention SSH access.. Can customize the phone however you like, change icons, App names, themes (although i don't recommend themes as it slows the phone down considerably), add my myBB icon :) (that alone should be enough to convince you) :D

..and much more obviously

I think when he said dont let go of the phone he might have meant while playing the bowling app?

I'm not in any rush yet.

LOL indeed, I meant to reply to this but got my qoutes mixed up...
:D

I'll admit I was quick to . . . well not quite dismiss the device but rather be a little unimpressed with it on paper. I'm not going to say it is perfect - no phone is - but it sure is one slick device and overall very impressive. IOW typical Apple finesse.

Yep, also didn't think much of it, till I got a 2g for my wife. A few days later I got the 3g for myself.

Once you jailbreak it, you'll be even happier.

I jail broke my iPhone until one day it booted with a caracture of Steve jobs with some Russian text... I thought WTF and have since switched to the iPhone 2.2 software as I don't trust the jailbreak software anymor, not if everytime I boot my phone I need to reflash it.

I suspect apple has a few tricks up their sleeves.

LOL
you have an option to change the startup logos when you jailbreak with pwngetool.

I choose to keep the default apple logos when I jailbreak but the steve jobs caricature etc. is optional not malicious, you can even use your own.
