Hi All,

My iPhones are going through my data cap like crazy (wifi). 3Gb in the matter of 1-2 hours !!!

Anyone experience similar effects running iPhone 6 on iOS 8 ?

Also, does anyone know of any good apps that monitor data usage per service/app so we can try pin-point where the problem could be ?

Thanks
Vic

I had a similar problem but not as bad. My problem was automatic app updates and automatic downloads. So just go to settings-> itunes & app store and turn all those automatic downloads off.

Else it will automatically download all itunes purchases to your device. Music and videos included

iCloud ? are you allowing iCloud to tx/rx photos and other media that use large file sizes ?

I usually only allow notes, contacts and calendar to access iCloud. All others are denied

ios app developers think its ok to update their damn apps twice a month. I swear it updates then the next damn week again. 49 updates waiting again.

I popped up a thread about a week ago, with a very similar issue. Cannot link to it via Tapatalk- but maybe go have a look in the iPhone sub forum.

iCloud was my problem. Documents and sync. Sorted now.

Like it was said before, look at:

1. Automatic App Updates
2. Automatic App downloads(this would be from other devices sharing the same Apple ID)

3. iCloud uploading photos
4. Documents syncing with iCloud

Have a look at these four options and your woes should be over.

What I found when I switched to iPhone from Android is that it does use a lot more data. Obviously keeping variables such as automatic updates and syncing the same.
