IPL 2022

Hansie Cronje is still seen as a fallen captain and a cheat. This wood-working cheat is seen as being redeemed by the cricket public. What irony...
He wins games and they need it.

What happened to the actual carpenter Bancroft. You don't even hear about him anymore.

Scapegoat. He plays for WA, and was doing well in the previous BBL. But has gone quiet.

Seems like it was more convenient to excuse the behaviour of the instigator than the behaviour of the guy he was willing to offer up as a sacrifice, and then let his captain take the fall too.

WTF was wrong with those guys?

To be honest.,.. the way he's currently bowling I wouldn't mind him going to another team :) Unfortunately for him, he ran into a Warner who must be a nightmare to bowl to when he's in that mood. Think Warner was put down of his bowling too ?
T20 is a different kettle of fish.

KG maybe the best in some game and others not. Same with batting.

Let's look at Faf ... very calculated innings for his 96, but Brevis could easily have scored 130 of 50 balls.

Back to the bowlers, the fast blokes can go for dozens. Just bloody open with spinners !!

Bancroft been scoring 100s and won the shield as well.

KG had one poor game this season and people already on his back? I remember last year or the year before where he had a streak of getting a wicket every game...

KG has been a consistent IPL performer year on year. Their batters let them down.
How the fk are you supposed to defend 115 on a batsman paradise and you have Warner and that Shaw kid walking in to chase it.

Not to mention a bloke by the name of Arsedeep on your team.

Can't end well.

Arsey has been a machine though, especially at the death, better than KG.

Think he still needs to find his "hunting partner". That's what made him and Nortje such an awesome pair. I think Shami would've been the ideal one, had he stayed

MI are in a world of pain...

In seasons gone, they could do no wrong. This season is the opposite.

Poor santner, should've had 2 in one over, now if he goes for 0-40 everyone will say that he is ****...

Brevis with a failure.

This should be an easy chase.

Sadly MI the first team guaranteed not to see silverware.

Going forward Brevis should use this opportunity to play himself in more.

By which public? Anyone who isn't australia or has him playing for their t20 side absolutely despises the man. And that was the case even before sandpaper gate.

Steve Smith is considered redeemed but doudt Warner will ever be liked...

Missed the last 5 overs, internet went to hell - as it usually does just after 19:00 - don't know why , then got load shedding at 20:00

In general. I think most South Africans have forgiven him for what he got involved in. To be honest, looking at what players get for match fixing as a first offence now, they get a slap on the wrist (5 years at most for a first offence).
Warner tried to match fix by getting the ball sandpapered, and what was worse was he had a younger player do it, and then happily threw his captain to the wolves in claiming he kind of knew about it. I suppose he did, but thought the plonker wouldn't go ahead with it.

He should have been banned for longer.
