In general. I think most South Africans have forgiven him for what he got involved in. To be honest, looking at what players get for match fixing as a first offence now, they get a slap on the wrist (5 years at most for a first offence).
Warner tried to match fix by getting the ball sandpapered, and what was worse was he had a younger player do it, and then happily threw his captain to the wolves in claiming he kind of knew about it. I suppose he did, but thought the plonker wouldn't go ahead with it.
He should have been banned for longer.
