Anyone know what the delay is with tickets going on sale for the ILP games at the Wanderers and when they are likely to be available for purchase?

I would also like to know. In the Beeld from last weekend there was an article that said that the issue is still over the suites that the IPL wants to use but the suit holders don't want to let them. It stated that most of the suit holders already agreed to let the IPL use their suites and that there were only a few suiteholders that still needed to be negotiated with. It also stated that these games may be moved to Supersport Park and Durban if no agreement is reached.

When you go to Computicket's website and click on the IPL tab it says "Booking to be advised" for these games, but if you go to the cricket tab itself you will notice that the Wanderers Stadium has been removed from the venues list there and also those IPL games to be played at Wanderers doesn't feature there anymore. Even though you couldn't book for the Wanderers IPL games yet, they still featured on this page. So maybe I shouldn't read to much into this but it seems like it doesn't look good for the Wanderers:confused:

It's quite sad actually. I can't see why all the other venues have already made agreements but for the IPL and Wanderers...whoever is at fault, the fans take the hit...shame on them. it's all greed... :/

it has nothing to do with greed would you rather the Gauteng Cricket Board stand their ground or be wussies like Cape Town and Durbs. i'm sorry but the fact of the matter is GCB has stood up to them after they were being bullied into it. the IPL isn't used to being told no. so if they do give in without reaching some compromise hell if I'm giving them any of my money

AFAIK, big events such as this typically require a clean stadium, ie no commitments to suite holders, advertisers etc.

You think that Ellis Park suite holders are going to be able to use their suites for the WC2010?
