ALright so I just got the 30gb iPod video, but I dont want to get it scatched.

Anyone out there got a good cover for theirs wanna direct me to a link or name a shop and the price they paid for theirs?

Tx

Yip, as rasputyn said - the evo3's the one to go for. I bought one a while ago for my 60gb video from iworld. Only place I could find that had it and would ship to SA (except ebay). Good service and a delivery time of 1 week to my door, not too bad.

unfortunately there's no official apple case that gives you the same protection as the evo3, while still remaining 100% usable with a crystal clear display.

Another product that looks quite interesting though is the invisible shield range - www.shieldzone.com. I ordered one for my DS and jasjar..will report back.

The nice thing about the iskin is that it keeps the form factor of the ipod. Not many of the other cover do that, they're either bulky as hell or ugly as hell.

That big music shop at the east rand value mall sells something identical to the invisible shield Azrael mentioned. It seems like a good idea if you want to keep your ipod "stock".

I'd probably buy all my iPod gear from zastore.co.za ... nothing like "going official", except you might pay more!
What's official about zastore? Nothing to gain by going that route.

I bought the Sleevz from Radtech - http://www.radtech.us/Products/SleevziPod.aspx - they delivered here and fairly quickly too if I recall correctly. Wafer thin yet durable.

rasputyn, they cant be the distributors. They are retailers, the distributors are Core Computer Group in Marlboro. They import all the stuff into SA...

oh ok, I thought that they were the distributors because when you go to "Shop" on apple.com, it takes you to zastore.apple.com.

My bad
Yeah - they're just a reseller like all the others here. Got a bit of a deplorable situation - Core imports all the machines into SA for all the resellers - zastore is of course part of the core group - not exactly the best situation.

There is a disclaimer when you go from Apple.com to zastore -
Please be advised that ZA Store is operated independently by ZA Online Store Pty (Ltd) as authorised by Apple South Africa.
...
NOTE: Reseller web site links will take you outside the Apple Web site. Apple does not control and is not responsible for information outside of the Apple Web site.
EDIT -
I can vouch for the sleevz as well - very nice!
LOL - I've go to say when mine arrived and I first saw how it was packaged I wondered if I'd just thrown away some $. :)
