What is the biggest IPOD available and how much should I pay?
Is the IPOD still the best?
Thanks
It depends. I have a 3G ipod, bought my gf a Nano a year ago and
recently messed around with a 30GB video. I use a Creative Zen vision,
as it seems to offer better sound quality and more features for a similar
price. I got my 3G 40GB iPod when they first came out, off Ebay when there
were virtually none available anywhere in South Africa, but once
I got my CZV - more than a year ago, I never went seriously back to it, although
I occasionally use it. That's my opinion.
The iPod has never been THE BEST. There are other players with better features
or (slightly) superior video/audio playback quality out there, but the iPod is a "cool" item, it has a superior user interface to the
other players, it has ITS and it also has a crapload of accessories available for it.
So if you conside style and function over features and playback quality, you
will consider the iPod to be better, also depending on what you compare it against.
My gripe against the iPod is the iTunes app you need to connect to it with.
I prefer to drag and drop my files, creating playlists on the player manually,
and so on. With the Creative Zen (Vision) you can do this with the built in
application. To do the same with the iPod I had to buy XPlay. Xplay
allows you to browse your iPod, copy stuff ON and OFF it,
and also copy other types of files onto your player. iTunes is cool
and all and I have it running on my Mac Pro but on my Windoze PC
I usually prefer to use an old non-bloatware version of WinAmp.
