2.2 has been released.

Can turn off predictive texting and download podcast directly onto the device.

Thats it? Geez... they felt those were top priority with Google's Android slowly marching up the hill with pitch-forks?
 
Of course, don't you know everyone *needs* street view?

The only real useful addition that's actually not mentioned in the list above is that when you delete an app from device it will prompt you to rate the app. This is pretty useful for both developers and users alike.

The only useful upgrades - and for this I need to d/load a 250mb file. Think I'll stick with jailbroken 2.1 firmware
 
the iphone3g includes a baseband update so 3G and calls might be improved.

Great so I can use those features when catching half-hourly shuttle busses, the subway or the tram system, in Cape Town. Excellent feature AAAA+ as I say on eBay.
