Hey guys,

Need some help.

I have an Ipod which i connect to my windows PC to get music etc. My Mates got a Mac, could i take music off his computer as well? Or does it work like normal external harddrives? Ie: if its formated for windows, it wont work on Mac and vice versa?

Thanks guys!

iPods are formatted to work on both platforms - you shouldn't have any problems.

Good luck!

Yeah, I use my 4GB usb stick between my Macbook and XP pc...

I think it used to be a problem in the olden days of iPods with clickwheels...

But I might be wrong - Mac noob...

OK, what iPod do you have?, Classic, Touch ...

Windows Formatted will work on Windows and Mac, Mac formatted only on Mac.
This is for the iPod Classic and iPod Nano's.

Remember that once you sync with his Mac your music will be wiped off the ipod and once you plug it into your Window's PC it'll want to remove the music you copied off his mac from your ipod.

Look for software that'll allow you to copy music from the iPod back to Windows. The software for Mac is called Senuti.

Thanks guys! Was worried it would currupt or something.

StbA, got me a new Classic 120gig mate. Why?

Cool thanks mates. I never sync i use the manual way (kinda drag from itunes drop into my ipod.
