IPTV - any good?

Hi

Could you provide some more detail on reliable IPTV provider

I have been with my current provider for over a year now. No issues so far. Watch all the F1 races, as well as all major sporting events. also regularly watch series on it. And my kids spend hours watching cartoons daily. I pay R200 a month and I have a 40/40 fibre line. I watch while kids watch netflix and 4 other devices on my network with no buffering
Please DM me your one. Thanx.

Regular IPTV users should consider paying for the Tivimate app. Around R600 and you can have it on 5 devices, it vastly improves the overall experience with a fantastic interface.

There is a trial period as well.

Do you guys make use of a VPN service for IPTV? Or is it safe to use without

Safe as a condom ;)
 Any VPN to recommend? I make use of Chromecast with Google TV.

The other option is that I use Norton VPN which is currently on my phone and then just cast to the Chromecast, not sure if that will have the same protection...otherwise a VPN option that will work with Google TV.

it is safe use but depending what countries you are streaming from one can experience the usual latency and/or geo locked services. try your-freedom.n*t there are many options but that worked flawless through various breakout points, my fav was Netherlands;)

editing on my retarded spell

VPN can sometimes short circut a bad routing node, sometimes helps when your ISP throttles your connection. Bufferbloat you need a router that can do Smart Queue Management to sort out. RAIN does not like people using VPN's.

what router/router spec do you recommend?

I use MikroTik, but they are not for every one, what you need is one that does SQM or a variation thereof. SQM = Smart Queue Management.

Not a silver bullet to all the ill's of the internet, but it helps, and is in the domain, of things you can use to improve your experience.
