IPv6 Roll Out

How do you apply for the trial assuming its still running, should be getting fibre activated within the week and would love to participate in the trial via Octotel.

No longer a trial.

On Octotel you simply need to enable DHCP IPv6 in the router and you should be sorted with native IPv6 support. ;)

Thanks, when will your IPv6 trial end, or have you exited already?

We started off with a trial for Staff fibre lines. We have completely shifted focus on getting as many fibre lines on IPv6 as fast as possible. I'm hoping that in the next 2 months everyone will be on IPv6 on the Afrihost network. It's a substantial number and it's not an easy or quick task but we are pushing for this.

Very impressive

Seems you are taking a very cautious approach. Your 30 day moving average "IPv6 preferred" stats on APNIC are going up at around 0.1% per day. Congrats by the way because it has now breached 1%. Webafrica (also Echo) has risen to 15% in basically the same time

It should spike as soon as we have the Huawei OTA update pushed.

Pushing configs to the D-Link via TR-069 has been slow but moving along at a constant rate.
