I could be wrong marine but simple logic dictates that a satellite cannot give you a 3d view, a satellite is more than likely not real time either. As i mentioned i may be wrong but i doubt satellites can do what we see in the movies. They certainly cannot give you a 3d view of your target

Not to mention if it is cloudy i somehow doubt they can see anything on the ground. Nor can they launch a missile attack.

This was more than likely a probe to see if it could spy without getting nailed. Dry run with the drone as the sacrifice.

It is 2011, do we really know what they can and cannot do? I doubt it but if you can think it, they can do it IMHO
 
It may be 2011 but i doubt something that high looking straight down could give you a 3d view.

What was that will smith movie where they zoom in and tracked him real time? perhaps you are thinking of something like that.

Lemme go google this i am sure google will know :p
 
me thinks using lasers as a distance measuring devise you could get a very good idea of 3D image, ... I am off to research how far can a laser measure with fairly accurate results

Drones are a tad slow, they need something with a bit more of an edge. Just send in one of these to have a look around.

Iran's military shot down a report that it downed a U.S. "spy drone" flying near its Fordo nuclear enrichment plant in Qom province, according to Fars, the official Iranian news agency.

Fars and state-run Press TV both quoted an Iranian lawmaker last week saying that Iranian air defense units of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) shot down the drone.

The initial report was a mistake caused by a training exercise, an IRGC spokesman told Fars on Friday.

"What caused the mistaken news was the firing, by the forces of the IRGC Air Force, at an aerial training enemy target in the general area of the Province of Qom," the spokesman said.

Iran's mighty military can't even tell the difference between their own target and an enemy's drone. Maybe Israel and the USA is just waiting for all the revolutionary Iranian soldiers to shoot each other by mistake.
