As i said don't under estimate a country than build a nuclear plant while heavily sanctioned. Never un estimate your enemy. Look at vietna,, iraq, afghanistan etc.

Yup they do, they could also piggy back off russian satellites if needed i would imagine. Russia is the leading country in space these days.

The Russians would never allow Iran to utilise their satellites for military purposes in a thousand years. If you seriously think the Russians would get involved in a shooting war against the West you really are deluded. Allowing them access to military satellites is the equivalent of Russian pilots flying combat operations for the Mad Dinner Jacket.

Israel Is Set To Receive 5,000 US Bunker Buster Bombs After Delaying Its Attack On Iran

In March President Barack Obama reportedly offered Israel bunker-buster bombs and other advanced weapons in exchange for a postponing an attack on Iran's nuclear facilities until 2013.

At the time the White House denied that any such agreement was proposed or reached.

Bunker-busters are essential for an attack on Iran's underground nuclear facilities since they can penetrate Tehran's world renowned reinforced concrete.

This week the U.S. Department of Defense notified Congress of a $647 million agreement to provide the Israel Air Force with 10,000 bombs — more than half of which are bunker-busters — along with 6,900 joint direct attack munitions (JDAM) tail kits, which convert unguided free-fall bombs into satellite-guided "smart" weapons.

Haaretz reported that the deal would serve to "renew the inventory of the Israel Defense Forces following the massive bombings in Gaza during Operation Pillar of Defense," and no doubt it will, but this is a pretty spectacular array of ordnance well beyond what Israel against Gaza last month.

Israel flew about 1,500 aerial bomb attacks in Operation Pillar of Defense, and reports on Twitter of bunker-busters came only sporadically in the latter half of the eight-day campaign. (Israel dropped Israeli-made bunker-busters on Gaza in '08 as well.)

And the last time the U.S. sent Israel bunker-busters, in 2009, the sale included 55 GBU-28 Hard Target Penetrators. This time around the U.S. is providing 1,725 BLU-109 and 3,450 GBU-39 bunker-buster bombs.

Last year The New York Times reported the U.S. refrained from sending the massive munitions before 2009 because "there were deep concerns that if the United States supplied bunker-busting bombs to Israel, it might be viewed as having tacitly endorsed an attack on Iran."

In any case Israel would most likely need U.S. help to attack Iran because Tehran's Fordow facility is 295 feet underground.

The only weapon that can reach it is America's biggest bomb, the Massive Ordnance Penetrator (MOP). MOPs, each packing 5,300 pounds of explosives, are capable of penetrating 60 feet of reinforced concrete and detonating at more than 200 feet below ground.

In February Congress approved $82 million to upgrade the 30,000 pound bomb, and in August the Air Force reported it was upgrading on its B-1B "Lancer" multi-mission bomber. Both are scheduled to be complete in 2013.

America's Biggest Bomb Gets Another Upgrade To Target Iran

The 30,000-pound Massive Ordnance Penetrator (MOP) is the largest bomb in the U.S. arsenal, and its new design is tailored specifically for striking Iran's Fordow nuclear enrichment complex.

Fordow, buried about 300 feet beneath a mountain near the city of Qom, is believed to contain more than 2,700 centrifuges enriching uranium.

Adam Entous and Julian Barnes at The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) report that not only has the MOP been refined for an Iranian strike, but it's also being used to assure Israel the U.S. can keep Tehran from acquiring a nuclear bomb.

Several times in recent weeks, American officials, seeking to demonstrate U.S. capabilities, showed Israeli military and civilian leaders secret Air Force video of an earlier version of the bomb hitting its target in high-altitude testing, and explained what had been done to improve it, according to diplomats who were present.

In the video, the weapon can be seen penetrating the ground within inches of its target, followed by a large underground detonation, according to people who have seen the footage.

The upgrades include "adjusted fuses to maximize its burrowing power, upgraded guidance systems to improve its precision, and high-tech equipment intended to allow it to evade Iranian air defenses … [as well as] capabilities designed to counter Iran's air defenses and keep the bomb on target if the Iranians try to knock it off course."

Initial modification of the MOP was announced in January when the Pentagon’s director of operational testing Michael Gilmore confirmed that tests conducted with the heavy GBU-57 MOP GPS-guided bomb, thought able to penetrate 200 feet of concrete before exploding, had demonstrated it was able to hit and destroy deeply buried targets.

The enhanced MOP features tail-fin modifications to fix bugs identified in testings as well as a second fuse to destroy hardened underground targets.


Gilmore’s said that the modifications were tested with five bomb drops from a B-2 stealth bomber on the White Sands Missile Range, conducted between June and October, and two ground tests.

The Pentagon tells BI the B-2 is the only platform in the U.S. Air Force inventory able to carry and release its heaviest bomb, even if B-52s were used in previous tests.

The WSJ article says the Iranian tailored MOP has yet to be dropped from an aircraft.

"Hopefully we never have to use it," a senior U.S. official also told the WSJ. "But if we had to, it would work."

The U.S. hopes the new MOP, and its ability to inflict significant damage on Iran, will keep Israel from launching a unilateral strike against Tehran in the near future.

WSJ notes that U.S. intelligence agencies don't think Israel's military can deliver "a knockout blow" by itself, and that the U.S. and Israel plan to reassess the intentions of Iran's leaders after the country's June elections.

Rasad-1 (Persian: رصد‎, meaning Observation) was an Iranian satellite which was launched in 2011.

The satellite decayed from orbit three weeks after launch, on 6 July 2011.

Navid (Persian: نوید‎) or Navid-e Elm-o San'at (Persian: نوید علم و صنعت‎, "Gospel of Science and Technology") was an experimental Iranian Earth observation satellite.

The satellite remained in orbit for two months, before reentering the atmosphere on 1 April 2012.

The world should quake at the magnificence of the technological superiority (or maybe not ).

The world is more at risk of falling debris from their space junk than anything else.
