Yes. IIRC, I have seen a few of the past SMS's talk about "the Kuruman area". I'm guessing it must perhaps be a system they use on the mines over there which sends out lightning warnings.Both contract and prepaid numbers gets recycled. And a prepaid number can become a contract number and visa versa. The SMS coming through to you from that long number sounds like it is a telemetry device monitoring something and sendingreportd. There is nothing Vodacom can do about that. The person in charge of that device needs to change the settings on the device not send messages to your prepaid number. When a number gets recycled all RICA and WASP content services are removed. This is not that and is out of Vodacom's control.
