my contract is almost finished with vodacom and im thinking to upgrade to a iphone 4 since its the same as what im paying now ... anyways besides that i came here get feedback from you people with iphones ... i had iphone once it got stolen but up until then it was the best phone ive had.

Look through your question you must, the answer you already have, the force is strong with this phone. On a serious note, the iPhone 4 does everything, and with the new browser based jailbreak no one has a excuse not to do it. But maybe you should try and hold out for the iPhone 5 in September

Agree, this phone is the bomb!

You have had an iPhone before + don't have one now + thought it was the best + can get one now + not pay anything extra = No-brainer

iPhone 4 is one of the best looking gadget's ever IMO. Almost every person who I've showed it to has got one with their next upgrade.

I've got one and imo it's a great mobile internet device but rather average as a phone.

And with its added free "Find iPhone" service, your stolen phone will be stolen no more!*

*T&C apply

Edit:

You could try hold out for the 5, but considering how SA stacks up in the hierarchy of things your wait will probably extend to November/December.

Just go ahead and get the phone already... You won't be sorry, promise.

PS. Also, what Mystic Twilight said... Worked for me just two weeks ago. You can track the phone, then send a message with a 2 minute tone to the new "owner", threaten to wipe the phone and block it making it worthless in the message, arrange to meet the new "owner" and trade 100 South African Rands for your phone, no questions asked... Listen to a long winded story 'bout how the new "owner" "found" the phone, reply: "Yeah, yeah, yeah, just give me my precioussss", Sigh deeply and head home and check out the MyBB on the MyBB app.

the only thing you will be sorry for it that in September the new Iphone ships out, be it the iphone 4g or 5 is still not known but its coming! iv been due for a few months now and im still holding out for the new model... worth waiting 3 months for imo... but you wont be sorry going for a iphone!

It depends on what will come with the new iPhone. I've got the iPad 1 and have no plans to get the iPad 2 as it offers very little extra. With Apple one can easily skip a generation. iPhone 6 will be radical compared to 4. I expect 5 to be faster thinner lighter with metal back. I wonder if it will be worthe the wait and premium price considering where we fit into Apple's priority list. Also keep in mind that the new iPhone will be made available to all carriers so there will initially be massive demand in higher priority markets. I say Six is the one to aim for (but I might br proven wrong ... who really knows with Apple?).

LOL! So true. I gave my iPhone to my wife and now I'm moaning that she spends way too much time with the phone. She discovered AVPlayer ... and now all the DVD's get converted and watched on her phone ... LOL!

You know it would be more beneficial to just follow and home in on the gps co-ordinates the phone transmits to you, with helpful police in tow, to get your phone back and arrest the thief than say, threatening to brick the phone :p

think im gonna get the iphone 4 cause probs the iphone 5 cost alot more... i just got a ipad 2 to play around with for a week (learning some old guy how to use app store and get all his stuff synced... etc) looks pretty good... put the cydia jailbreak on it... not realy liking the jailbreak though i thought it was gonna give me real cracked apps from the store or something... but so far all im seeing is bad iphone apps and no iphone apps... maybe its the sources i got in or im not using it properly... anyways ive got this thing for a week just got it yesterday so ive got a whole week to fiddle around with it.

i understand what you saying but IMO, if the iphone 5 is expected to be thinner, lighter and faster, then whats the point of buying the iphone 4? If your contact is nearly done, hold out on a monthly contract basis till the new one is released and just upgrade... This is assuming that your gonna keep you contract or thinking of getting the phone on contract, or are you looking to buy the phone cash?
