Is any1 running DDR3 ?

Curently running Vista Ultimate x64 with 2 x 1GB I desperately need to buy 2GB's more as my system is starting to limp a bit. As my mobo supports DDR2 and DDR3 , I was wondering whether I shud just be patient and get 2 x 2GB of DDR3, but the pricing is a bit crazy ATM And is it worth the performance gain ?

dude firstly ddr 2 and 3 cannot work together

secondly dont bother spending that kinda money on 5% performance gain

lol You won't see a difference between 2 & 4GB unless you're doing Video editing etc.
On that note I'm running (4 x 1) 4GB 1000mHz ram

yes you do when running vista 64 you see massive difference

playing games shows more than 2 gigs vista then it starts using the page file (slow)

4 gigs it running on your sticks of ram which is faster

dude, i'd just stick with ddr2, 'cause it still is extremely fast and as killadoob said that it is only a 5% performance increase. i had 1gig ddr ram and i recently upgraded to 3gigs of ddr2 667mhz, works way faster

just go for another 2x 1gb ddr2 while prices of ddr2 is dirt cheap, ddr3 is a waste atm.

You will see a difference on certain games which use lots of memory. Witcher and Stalker are examples.

Umm, that's a bit obvious killa, and just to inform you my board (GA-P35C-DS3R) supports both, obviously not running together Looks like I'll stick with DDR2's for now thanks

i dont know your level of computer intelligence but im assuming now its pretty good
