Lol. Hello Peter is usually used to bash companies. Wether they're big or small, the only time it was useful to me and I took their reviews seriously was when I signed up for Rocketnet as a new ISP. Rocketnet actually turned out to be a really decent ISP and I still use them to this day.
I am a regular hellopeter reviewer and 90% of my feedback there is positive feedback for companies

Maybe in your case but look up any other random companies you can think of and look at the reviews on hello Peter. KFC for example has 1.5 stars but people love it and still buy from them.
For more perspective, Evetech have 2.4 stars on Hello Peter but 4.2 stars on Google reviews.

So you are saying Evetech can be bought from and I will not have issues?

Oh I totally know that hellopeter has more ranting reviews than good reviews,

I've bought components from them a long time ago and did not have issues but I've seen a lot of people on this forum complain about their grey imports. My advice is to check if any other companies are selling the exact same product before buying from them. That would probably be the best way of verifying wether it's their own import or from a South African Distribution channel. Take that with a grain of salt though

No thank you. I rather take the experience from people here, Carbonite and on hellopeter.

I have another great example of a hellopeter company entry I can vouch for:

Thank you for the kind mention @AlbieMorgan.

Hi guys. Computer Realm is my company, I see there are a lot of concerns on here so I will do my best to address all your queries.

Firstly, we sell through Takealot and try to push most of our sales through there. Our website is relatively new and more for general info and contact information however, you can purchase from us through our website or through WhatsApp/Email if needed. People that order from our website mostly use it to secure stock before we send it to Takealot's warehouse. We currently only have a couple of products on Takealot's website as we prefer to sell items in stock through them due to their very strict seller agreement terms and we usually sell closer to promotion times which is when you will see more of our products listed on there.

There is also currently a massive shortage worldwide for computer components ,as I'm sure you guys are aware of, which is another factor in why we do not have a full range of products both on our website and through Takealot. We usually only sell full PCs and not individual components as we can perform stress tests on them before sending them out leading to little/no returns. We may now and again sell graphics cards but have not sold any since late February due to the inflated prices.

Hopefully by November we will be able to sell more graphics cards and a wider range of PCs.

With regards to our location, we are currently operating from an office premises in KZN where PCs are built and dispatched but this may change in the future as we look to grow the company and allow in store customers at a new business premises/warehouse.

The error with reviews on the website is being worked on as we tried integrating a backend API with Takealot which caused a bit of an issue.

As for contact info, you can call us during business hours for queries unless you are requesting invoices/quotes which must be sent to us via email/WhatsApp so that we may verify the contact details on our system.

I would not buy from a place that doesn't list their physical address and only wants to be paid via EFT.
As I mentioned in the above reply. We mainly try to sell through Takealot. If someone is not comfortable buying directly from us, they can buy through Takealot. Buying directly from us is only for if you want to secure stock before we send out to Takealot or if you want a bit of a better price
