IS Down?

Hi,

I Was wondering if anybody had / has problems with IS connectivity.

I was working perfectly fine the whole weekend, as well as this morning, when all of a sudden everything just died.

Everything seems to be connected, all the right lights on the router is on, and all that, but no connectivity...any hints/clues?

Don't rule out bad weather up north at the satellite base station.

It could be the wind from one of the technicians chillie bean chow last night is afflicting the network.

News.is.co.za died completely at about 9:30 this morning -have not tried since.
International is good or terrible - depending on what sites you go to.
Local is OK (other than news.is.co.za).

in other words, the usual.

If this is how it usually goes with IS i'm wondering if I signed up with the right ISP

Working fine for me (touch wood...dont type so hard), both international and local (well I am accessing international through a proxy currently), but my newsgroups are also going, and that is a surprise for me

Let's hope they fix this issue soon...I need my adsl back ^.^

But I can tell you this, trying to access IS international during office hours is a recipe for frustration, get yourself a proxy

Thanks, I will definitely remember that. The ADSL Seems to be up and running once again today, I will test it and see how long it lasts
