Hey guys and galls....

Less than 2 days for the launch of the greatest hype in this millennium ... Diablo 3!!

I just hope iBurst is ready and geared up for this!
The last thing needed is my iBurst connection not being able to cope, any of you played the Open Beta on iBurst?

Comments and suggestions welcome...

Unfortunatly I cannot answer your question but in case you downloaded D3 from battle.net prior 11:00 AM on Saturday May 12, you must obtain the new downloaders to be able to install properly once the game is released on May 15.

From what I have tested for clients it seems to be area specific :( so no Real way of telling you whether you will handle or not,But why not try a pingtest to eu.battle.net and post your results!

There is 2 changes of playing diablo on iburst

To be honest if you keen on playing just single Player then all you need is the connection which is used for the copy protection,Otherwise Then if your ping is under 280 its manageable for Multiplayer.

EDIT i get around 99ms on my 3g and 83ms on my Adsl use that as a perfect playable Benchmark.

Installed D3 today and what a nightmare. Hours of reading on battle.net i found a post from someone with the same problem as me and he/she's using iburst as well.

So i tried my blackberry as a internet connection (gonna set me back 250 bucks) and walla, D3 installs like a dream.

If you got problems installing D3 and ure using iburst try another service provider and it will probably work.

D3 installed fine for me...

I'm trying to install Diablo 3 tonight and it keeps crashing at 5%

A surprisingly large amount of people with this problem seem to be using ibusrt :/ Anyone else had a similair problem??

well thank goodness I'm not alone.

Just verified that i experience the same problem on a seperate PC, running a seperate operating system.

Commonality? iBurst. That and posts from about a dozen other ibursters in the official forums lead me to ask

"What the hell did I do to deserve this? Of all the ISP's in the world to screw this up, it had to be iBurst, and they have to be my ISP" >.<

I have installed without real issues. But i have horrible lag spikes... I started playing at 4pm from home and my latency was 520ms... as it got evening i was having issues and latency ranging from 800 - 2800 ms ... so don't come and tell me my setup is bogus iBurst it is the tower loading that is outrages!!!!

where has Rooi gone? I see his last day of serious posting was 25 March whereafter he has all but vanished. iBursts rep account no these forums seems largely useless!

Had an ping of over 800 last night on diablo getting constantly dropped with my iburst connection, switch over to 3 g and it dropped down to 200

Thank u iburst for giving me the opportunity to use ur line to its full potential

mg5Hj

a nice ping of 1742

There is a general problem with D3 latency on most ISPs, even in europe they playing with around 200-400ms, most probably due to overloaded servers.

As far as I know iBurst has a direct upstream through Telia where the servers are hosted.

I did exactly as you did, after having exactly the same problem you did. And it worked! Thanks for posting this mate. Helped me damn my soul! lol ... Seriously, thanks.

Yes, there is a problem that is being experienced by many iBurst users during installation, where the install process fails at 5%

I too got around this by buying R200 of air-time and setting up USB tethering to my phone. Got past the 5% (which I've struggled with for 2 evenings) and am now happy to have D3 installed and ready to play for tonight.

Was also super impressed by the speed from MTN's network - 2.4mb a second download - i.e. 300KB per second! Absolutely wrecks iburst apart (average speed of 60-90KB on a great evening). Going to have to look into more affordable data packages but either way, we've decided to dump iBurst in the next 2.5 months.

iBurst, please can you look into this and sort your network out? Thanks...
