Noticed the past few weeks that IS based accounts are having a very turbulent time and now again today, it's crawling. Browsing and downloading slow as hell and pings, higher than normal. Switch to my SAIX account and all is good.

Is anyone else having these problems?

*Edit - just did speedtests on the IS accounts, got no more than 1mb ..... same tests on the SAIX account, full line speed.

Yep, our work connection (4mpbs Afrihost) is dog slow!

My OpenWeb 4Mbps Uncapped currently has a latency of 1500-1800ms! Where as my WebAfrica prepaid account has a latency of 10-20ms.

I've never seen the latency on my uncapped that high! Ever!

Have you guys got SAIX based accounts at all to test with?

My WebAfrica 33GB for R199 account (special) is flying. I get almost full-line speed on torrents, during business hours!

Our Mweb business uncapped is also crawling today. I phoned Mweb and they say we are maxing our line. Waiting for them to send me proof.

The IS based account I quoted is an afrihost 6GB capped account.
There is definitely something wrong with IS based stuff in certain areas.

Customers are phoning saying struggling to browse, email timeouts etc. Ping to gmail.com timing out, pings to local servers also timing out....WTF. This is really a pain in the ass. Any feedback from IS?

Less than 400kb/s on 4Mb/s line

I'm running an Axxess 4Mb/s uncapped account which is worse than crawling. This is also an IS product resold...

My Mikrotik reports less than 400kb/s downloads max (5 min average).

Axxess is not responding to web based tickets as a matter of urgency.

I can't even open speedtest.net on Afrihost (IS) 10Gig account. it time's out. but at home my Uncapped Mweb account is flying 3.45mbps....

So it's not just me for a change. SAIX is also not exactly cruising. Afrihost is dead in the water for a 4meg connection!
