This. Also why the double bagging? No need for black bags ontop of the wheelie bin.Do your garbage collectors check the contents of the bin?

Just wash it once a month or whenever it starts to reek with Jeyes Fluid. It can get very dirty, hence people prefer to use the bags.
PE - 2 bags of grass cuttings/leaves with your domestic refuse every week.
Domestic refuse - no limit on number of black bags...By us they'll collect up to five bags, anything goes.
It's not illegal...
Given the number of sawed off trees and rubble that was in my bin, they pretty much take anything.
The bin must just not be too heavy.
They had to use 3 people to roll my bin to the truck once.![]()
You live in Cape Town - of course its illegal.
You may only put in leaves and grass cuttings in your bin.

In my neighbourhood they only load the bins, nothing else, you'll have to find a way to haggle with your neighbour to put your new TV. stove, etc boxes into his bin if he has space. It's not illegal...

Always thought garden refuse in black bags was strictly forbidden. How many allowed in Durbs?
Well I never had a problem.
Not allowed in Durban. You need to purchase those light blue garden refuse bags if you want the municipality to remove your garden refuse.
