I assume this extends to your home or parents' home as well? Because there was a story here last week of a caregiver assaulting an elderly women and her children set up a hidden camera in her room. Would the video be admissable in court? I think the old woman suffers from memory loss so it would for the courts to know if she consented.

That is the place of employment of the caregiver. In that scenario the employer has the right to intercept any activity which they deem to be suspicious.

Similarly to our employers having the right to use our internet activity or emails for that matter against us.
